In TriNetX you explore patient data by creating a Study, then building one or more queries inside it. Here is how to log in and set up a new study.

Log in

  1. Go to live.trinetx.com and enter your Stony Brook email address. You will be directed through Stony Brook Single Sign-On.
  2. No account yet? Request an account, or see About TriNetX.

Create a new study

  1. Once logged in, click Create New Study in the upper right corner.
  2. Enter the study details. The required fields (marked with an asterisk) are Study Name, Research Purpose, and Primary Therapeutic Area.
  3. Optionally complete Study Identifying Information and Study Protocol, which are useful when sharing the study with collaborators.
  4. Click Create to begin. Your study opens in the Query Builder, ready for your first query.
Name it clearly. Choose a study name that is meaningful to you and easy to tell apart from other studies in the lists your TriNetX administrator and collaborators can see.
