About REDCap
REDCap (Research Electronic Data Capture) supports a wide range of data capture strategies, workflows, and compliance requirements including HIPAA. It is licensed through a consortium agreement with Vanderbilt University and powers 2,700+ Stony Brook projects.
While research data collection is the primary purpose, REDCap can also support quality improvement and operational projects approved by the appropriate regulatory bodies.
Who can access
- East Campus: anyone with an SBM domain account can log in immediately
- West Campus: request an SBM domain account from the RCI team first
Getting started
- Log in and start building your project immediately.
- Move your project to Production before starting data collection.
- Request approval for higher-risk features (API, SMS, external user onboarding) as needed.
