The Research Computing & Informatics (RCI) team is a unit of the Stony Brook Division of Information Technology (DoIT), coalesced in 2019 to support the research informatics and advanced computing needs of investigators, campus-wide.
RCI is made up of twenty IT professionals from both the Medicine and University sides of campus.
The goals of this unit are twofold:
- to evaluate and serve the informatics and advanced computing needs of Stony Brook Research community, and
- to facilitate and encourage the proficient, compliant, and sustainable use of these resources.
