Clinical Research Data Requests

About the service

Clinical Research Data Requests are submitted through Health System Reporting via a Data Request Form. We will work with you to understand your study data needs to provide the requested research data within compliance and IRB guidelines. Data may include health fact datasets, images, or patient lists for research study recruitment or chart review.

Request types

• Exploratory: summary data only; may not require an approved protocol. Perfect for grant applications and feasibility explorations.
• Hypothesis-Driven Research: requires IRB approval. Examples include analysis-ready clinical data (including imaging data), preliminary data to be transformed and analyzed, and medical record numbers for chart review.
• Prospective Trials: requires IRB approval. Examples include datasets for statistical analysis, supplemental study data, or potential study participant contact information for HIPAA-compliant research study recruitment.

Example use case

A physician and his research team are participating in a consortium studying children diagnosed with hypertension at the ages 11–18 in the years 2021–2022. The team needs study-specific de-identified patient data on lab results and specialist referrals. With proper IRB approval, we work with the study team to provide them with the requested data.
