OnCore accepts dates in many formats and converts every entry to MM/DD/YYYY. Date fields also accept keyboard shortcuts that enter a date relative to today, which saves time on visit logging and data entry.
Date formats
You can enter one- or two-digit months and days and two- or four-digit years. If you use two-digit months and days, you can omit the slashes. For example:
- 12/2/09 becomes 12/02/2009
- 4/6/88 becomes 04/06/1988
- 09/01/1955 is accepted as-is
- 080810 becomes 08/08/2010
Keyboard shortcuts
In any date field, type a shortcut instead of a specific date (n is a number):

| t+n / t−n | A date n days from today (t+3 = three days out; t−1 = yesterday) |
| w+n / w−n | The current date plus/minus n weeks (w−6 = six weeks ago; w+2 = two weeks out) |
| m+n / m−n | The current date plus/minus n months |
| y+n / y−n | The current date plus/minus n years |
| mb / me | The beginning or end of the month; can be used alone or with + or − and a number |
| yb / ye | The beginning or end of the year; can be used alone or with + or − and a number |
Tip
Combine the letters with math for fast entry, for example me for the last day of this month, or y−1 for the same date one year ago.
