All connections require a SeaWulf account — see Requesting accounts & project numbers.
Option 1 · Web access (Open OnDemand)
Open OnDemand at sn-ood.seawulf.stonybrook.edu requires no login-node knowledge and supports file management, job submission, and interactive apps. See the Open OnDemand overview.
Option 2 · SSH access (terminal)
Mac/Linux: open Terminal and connect with:
ssh <NetID>@login.seawulf.stonybrook.edu # or, for the modern nodes: ssh <NetID>@milan.seawulf.stonybrook.edu
Include the -X flag for graphical applications (see X11 forwarding).
Windows: use MobaXterm (recommended), PuTTY, or Windows Terminal with WSL.

Authentication
All SSH and Open OnDemand connections use Duo authentication — approve the login request on your enrolled device. Frequent users can connect through Stony Brook's VPN (single Duo prompt per session), or enable passwordless SSH.
