Student assistants work on the live clusters — building nodes, installing software, triaging tickets, and monitoring SeaWulf, NVwulf, and ClinWulf alongside the HPC staff.

They are not observers: students are a core part of how RCI supports 23,000+ CPU cores, hundreds of researchers, and the day-to-day HPC operation.
🚀 A career pipeline
Alumni carry these skills into graduate programs, national labs, and industry — systems, storage, scheduling, and user support experience few students graduate with.
