Overview
Job Composer submits and manages batch (non-interactive) jobs from the browser — create new jobs, edit scripts, and manage the associated directories and files.
Getting started
- Open the OnDemand portal and authenticate with NetID + DUO
- Launch Job Composer from the dashboard icon or the Jobs menu
Creating jobs
- From specified path — import an existing job script by providing its source path
- From default template — generate a new MPI job with standard settings
Editing scripts
Click the filename in Folder Contents or the Open Editor button — a text editor opens in a new tab with adjustable text size, theme, and mode. Save via the top-left button.
Managing directories
- Open Terminal — command-line editing (may require DUO re-authorization)
- Edit Files / Open Dir — a graphical editor supporting create, move, copy, upload, and download
Submitting and controlling
Back on the main Job Composer page, click Submit to queue the job. Use Stop to pause a running job or Delete to remove it.
