- A publisher or repository requests your primary analysis dataset
- You're releasing a limited or de-identified dataset externally
Data sharing beyond the original IRB-approved team requires a data use agreement — except when the shared data come directly from participants who consented to such sharing. The service operates by request only.
Example
A clinical oncology team completes a phase III trial. After manuscript acceptance, the publisher requests the primary analysis data for verification — the honest-broker service reviews the dataset before release.
