Access 96-core Intel Sapphire Rapids nodes with High Bandwidth Memory (HBM). Optimized for memory-bound workloads. For detailed technical guidance, see the official FAQ: Getting Started with Intel Sapphire Rapids Xeon Max Nodes.
Node Memory Overview
Each standard node has 96 cores with 256 GB DDR5 memory and 128 GB HBM. Use HBM for memory-intensive or bandwidth-sensitive applications. One node in the cluster is configured with 1 TB DDR5 + 128 GB HBM (L4 cache) for extremely large memory jobs.
Sapphire Rapids (Xeon Max) Software
Software modules compiled for use on the HBM nodes are grouped under xeonMax. These modules are not available on the Milan nodes (milan1 / milan2). To prepare jobs for the HBM nodes, we recommend logging into xeonmax.seawulf.stonybrook.edu.
