Fırat received his bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics & Statistics from Stony Brook University. Prior to starting at the IACS as their HPC Engineer in the fall of 2014, he worked at the Stony Brook School of Medicine for eight years with clinical researchers and in industry for two years. His interests are in data center infrastructure, CPU & GPU architecture, and low latency networks.
