Join us on October 1st, 2026 for an introductory Open OnDemand training session for SeaWulf and Nvwulf. The session will cover how to access cluster resources through the web interface, launch interactive applications, manage files, and submit jobs.
Both in-person and Zoom options are available. Registration is required. Please register here or view the flyer (PDF).

HPC Support virtual office hours are resuming for the Spring 2026 semester!
Members of our HPC Support team will be holding virtual office hours at the following times:
- Monday 11 am - 12 pm
- Friday 11 am - 12 pm
If you have questions or need assistance troubleshooting a SeaWulf or NVwulf problem, you may use this link to attend the office hours during either of the above times slots.
We have just been notified of scheduled electrical maintenance that will be performed on the circuits feeding the data center housing SeaWulf's Intel Sapphire Rapids 96-core nodes. In anticipation of this maintenance the hbm queues and the xeonmax login node will be going off-line starting at 5:00 PM on Monday, September 28th. We anticipate the system to be back up by noon on Tuesday, September 29th, pending timely completion of the electrical maintenance.
We thank you for your patience while these necessary maintenance steps are performed.
In order to perform hardware and software upgrades, the queues providing access to these SeaWulf's Intel Skylake 40-core nodes will be drained and unavailable for new jobs starting at 5 pm on Tuesday, August 25th. The nodes will be brought offline starting at 8 am on Wednesday, August 26th. We anticipate that the Skylake 40-core queues will be up and available by the end of business on August 26th, pending timely completion of the updates.
The other queues and SeaWulf's login nodes will remain operational during this maintenance period.
We thank you for your patience while these necessary updates are performed.
In order to provide a more robust and higher-performing storage platform, we will be performing maintenance on the NVwulf cluster starting at 10 AM on Tuesday, July 28th, and concluding by the end of business on the same day.
During this maintenance window, all login nodes, compute nodes, and queues on NVwulf will be offline. We thank you for your patience while these necessary tasks are completed.
In order to allow the university to perform electrical work on the campus data center, the 28-core, Tesla k80 gpu, Tesla p100, and Tesla v100 queues and login nodes login1 and login2 will be going offline for scheduled maintenance at 4pm on Monday, July 13th. The maintenance is expected to conclude by lunch time on Tuesday, July 14th.
The 40-core, 96-core, a100 gpu queues will NOT be impacted by this maintenance. Similarly, the Milan1 and Milan2 login nodes will continue to be available.
We thank you for your patience while these necessary tests are conducted.
Virtual HPC Support office hours have ended for the Spring 2026 semester. We will announce new virtual office hours later this Fall.
In order to allow the university to perform a generator test on the campus data center, the 28-core, Tesla k80 gpu, Tesla p100, and Tesla v100 queues and login nodes login1 and login2 will be going offline for scheduled maintenance at 4pm on Monday, May 11th. The maintenance is expected to conclude by lunch time on Tuesday, May 12th.
The 40-core, 96-core, a100 gpu queues will NOT be impacted by this maintenance. Similarly, the milan1 and milan2 login nodes will continue to be available.
We thank you for your patience while these necessary tests are conducted.
The scratch policy on SeaWulf has been updated. The length of time that files are allowed to persist in scratch has been increased from 30 to 45 days.
